For typical industrial applications, all expansion and remote baseplate cables can be made with plastic shell covers and should be wired as shown in Figure 10-19. In either case, pin 1 should be wired into both ends of the custom length cable, and the recommendations listed below should be followed for the Wye cables treatment in the remote (IC693CHS392/399) baseplates.
When using 100% shielded cable, all local (CPU and expansion) baseplates in the system must be solidly referenced to the same ground ppointor a potential difference between baseplates could disturb signal transmission.

The IC693CHS392 can be mounted on a DIN rail or panel. If using a DIN rail, snap the base plate into the DIN rail to ensure a secure fit. If using a panel, drill holes in the panel according to the base plate's dimensions and secure the base plate to the panel. When using screws, ensure proper tightening, avoiding overtightening or undertightening.
Ensure the PLC system is powered off to avoid electrical shock. The IC693CHS392 operates at 24V DC. Connect a suitable power cable to the module's power connector, observing the positive and negative polarity of the power supply.
The IC693CHS392 cannot operate independently and must be connected to a system with a CPU. Connect the 25-pin D-sub female I/O bus expansion connector on the right side of the IC693CHS392 to the corresponding connector on the CPU module or other main base plate, ensuring a tight connection. Installing I/O Modules:
Gently insert the various I/O modules into the IC693CHS392 slots as needed until they click into place. Be careful not to apply excessive force to avoid damaging the slots or modules.
After installation, carefully check that all connections are correct and that the screws are secure. Once confirmed, power on the PLC system and check that the indicators on each module are functioning properly. If any abnormalities are detected, troubleshoot and resolve the problem based on the indicator status and the relevant manual.
